What is MKNJ??
MKNJ is a group created for the advancement of the Mortal Kombat local tournament scene. We have been providing events and tournaments in the tristate area since March of 2019. Our events have grown and we are proud for what provide the community while at the same time honored to have so much support for talented players, competitors, and creators from all over the country. We love NRS games, and our core foundation has roots that date back all the way to 2011 during the birth of the NRS community with their title MK9.
We would be nothing without the community, and we are always looking to give back in the form of not just incredible tournaments, but also a fun event experience, community connections, trophies and more. Please join us for our next event and compete with the best this region has to offer!

Game entry fee =$10 (Of this entry fee 100% of every entrant entry fee will be contributed to the pot)

Payments accepted: Cash accepted Credit cards accepted (add $1 credit card fee)

PRIZES: Payout consist of ALL the games entry fees

PLUS a $250 prize pool bonus provided by our sponsor for the Mortal Kombat 1 Bracket

The winner will also receive a custom made trophy to mark their accomplishment

1st 2nd and 3rd will receive custom made medals for their high placements

RULES:

-All tournament matches will be played on Playstation 5
-Best 3 out of 5 games.
-Tournament mode only.
-Tournament settings: (Custom settings)
– Allow First hit (On)
– Fatal Blow Cool Down (On)
– Fatal Blow Damage Boost (Off)
– Fatal Blow Delayed Armor (Off)
– Stage Select (On) [please see ruling below]
-Double Elimination Bracket
-Loser may switch Character and/or Kameo. IF loser changes characters, the winner MUST remain character and Kameo locked.
-Players may agree on a stage, but if they can’t come to an agreement, you must select random. If you lose, you can choose to stay, or random select again. No one is allowed to pick specific stages without agreement of their opponent during anytime of the set
-BYOC – BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLERS AND CONVERTERS APPLICABLE FOR Playstation 5
