Rookie Round Robin is a new NJ weekly tournament held at Gamer’s Grove every Monday evening. This bracket has a few tricks up it’s sleeve:

• Amateur Bracket – PR players are banned! (former included)
• 18 Player Cap – Round Robin or Ladder!
• Dual Stream – Twice the matches to VOD review!

WINNER GETS FREE ENTRANCE TO TRANSCENDENCE

Our goal for this event is to foster a space for local smashers to get the best practice they can get. Beginners and Intermediate players welcome!

This tournament has a purposefully low cap on attendees to promote better practice for players. 0-2er? Fear not, in a Round Robin you can lose all your sets and still play every set!

In a Round Robin, players will play sets with every other player. This increases the number of sets played exponentially as attendees increase, so this format is capped at 10 entrants. If we have less than 10 attendees, we will run a Round Robin.

In a Ladder, players freely find sets with opponents in order to score points. (Think of this like your favorite online ranked mode, just in person!) Whoever has the most points by the end of the event wins! If we have more than 10 attendees, we will run a Ladder. This format is capped at 18 entrants.

DQ TIMER will be set at 5 minutes after your set is called.

Refund Policy: It is strongly recommended that you pay at the venue (we take both cash and card) if you are unsure if you will be able to attend. However if you have paid online we can repay your pot fee however the venue fee is final and will not be refunded.

PAYOUT PERCENTAGES

• 4 to 10 entrants will pay out Top 1
• 11 to 18 entrants will pay out Top 2: 70/30
